This Privacy Policy explains how FortuneTell.ai ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website (fortunetell.icehe.life) and our iOS application (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication tokens (via Sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password)
• Birth Information: Date, time, and place of birth, gender — used to compute astrological charts (BaZi, ZiWei, etc.)
• Questions and Inputs: Questions you ask the AI, tarot cards selected, hexagrams cast
• Photos (Biometric Data): When you use face or palm reading features, you upload photos of your face or palms. These images are processed by computer vision models to extract physiognomic features. We treat these photos as sensitive biometric data and process them only to deliver the requested reading. Photos are stored encrypted at rest and are retained per Section 4
• Payment Information: We do not store credit card numbers. Payments are processed by Apple In-App Purchase, Stripe, and Z-Pay; we receive only transaction confirmations and order metadata

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device & Technical Data: IP address, device model, OS version, browser type, language preference, timezone
• Usage Data: Features used, pages visited, time spent within the Service
• Diagnostics: Crash reports, performance metrics, and application logs — used solely to detect, diagnose, and fix issues with the Service
• Identifiers: Apple IDFV (an anonymous device-scoped identifier), session tokens, cookies (web only). We do not collect Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers)

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• Apple: Your Apple ID hash (when using Sign in with Apple), IAP transaction receipts
• OAuth Providers: Email and basic profile (when using Google/other sign-in)

1.4 Sensitive Information

The categories above include data that may be considered sensitive under applicable law:

• Biometric data: face and palm photographs (see Section 1.1)
• Inferences about beliefs or interests: your use of divination and astrology features may reflect spiritual or philosophical interests

We process such information only as necessary to provide the Service you have requested, and, where required by applicable law (e.g., GDPR Art. 9, PIPL, Illinois BIPA), only on the basis of your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant data from your account.

1.5 Location Information

We do not collect precise GPS location. We may derive a coarse region or country from your IP address solely to apply local pricing, currency, regulatory rules, and content localization.

1.6 iOS-Specific Tracking Disclosure

• We use Apple IDFV (Identifier for Vendor), a device-scoped anonymous identifier, for analytics within our own apps and websites only
• We do not collect Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) and do not request the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites
• We do not share any information with third-party advertisers, ad networks, or data brokers

• Provide and personalize fortune-telling, divination, and AI chat services
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Improve the Service (analytics, error monitoring)
• Communicate with you (account notices, support responses)
• Comply with legal obligations
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing With Third Parties

3.1 AI Service Providers

Your questions, birth information, and divination inputs are sent to large language model providers (OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter) to generate AI interpretations. These providers may temporarily process this data to fulfill your request. They are contractually required not to use your data to train their models.

3.2 Payment Processors

• Apple In-App Purchase (iOS): Handles all in-app purchases on iOS
• Stripe (Web): Processes USD payments
• Z-Pay (Web): Processes CNY payments

3.3 Infrastructure Providers

• Supabase: Database and authentication
• Cloudflare: CDN and DDoS protection
• Vercel: Web hosting
• Aliyun: Backend hosting

3.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5.1 GDPR (EU/UK Residents)

Our legal basis for processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b)). You may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

5.2 CCPA (California Residents)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of sale (we don't sell your information). You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

5.3 PIPL (China Residents)

Per the Personal Information Protection Law, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. International Data Transfers

We may transfer your data to servers located in Hong Kong, the United States, or other regions. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard measures (TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access control, audit logging). However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Our Service uses AI to generate fortune-telling interpretations, predictions, and other divinatory content. This content is for entertainment purposes only and does not constitute professional advice (medical, legal, financial, psychological, or otherwise). AI-generated content may be inaccurate, misleading, or fabricated. Do not make important decisions solely based on AI-generated divination.

10. Cookies (Web Only)

The website uses cookies for authentication, language preference, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may impair Service functionality.

11. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice at least 7 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
